Tweak FireFox for slow internet connection.

If you are using slow DSL, slow cable or dial-up connection, you may be interested in FireFox tweaking for slow connection. Improved browsing speed should be result of this tweaking.

1. Type in "about:config" in FireFox address bar:

2. Find and change these settings as it's shown here:

browser.xul.error_pages.enabled: true
browser.cache.memory.capacity: 16000
nglayout.initialpaint.delay: 0 (zero)
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server: 4
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy: 8
network.http.max-connections-per-server: 8
network.http.max-connections: 30
content.switch.threshold: 750000
content.notify.ontimer: true
content.notify.interval: 750000
content.maxtextrun: 8191
content.max.tokenizing.time: 3000000
content.interrupt.parsing: true

If you can't find some of these settings in your config file, then you must create new setting. You can do that by clicking right mouse button on white space at config window:

3. Close FireFox and run it again. Enjoy better surfing!
