Remove subfolders in My Documents.
Article published on January, 2005.

My eBooks, My Pictures, My Videos and My Music in the My Documents folder are annoying. I don't think that someone really uses them. You can't just delete these folders - folders keep coming back. This guide will show you how to set yourself free from worthless subfolders.

1. Unregister .DLL files. Select Start -> Run. Type: regsvr32 /u mydocs.dll and hit ENTER:

This is what you get:

(To register back you should type: regsvr32 mydocs.dll)

2. Delete \Documents\ folder at
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\

3. Delete \My Documents\ folder at
C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\

4. It's really hard to stop My Music folder from coming back. Microsoft worked really hard on this debile feature, but we will try to fight it anyway. Open folder C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\My Music\ and delete Value data. Select Start -> Run. Type: regedit. Find HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellFolders and from entry "My Music"="C:\\Documents and Settings\\USERNAME\\My Documents\\My Music" leave only "My Music".
